Intermediate Sewing - 4 Week Workshop (Summer Class)
WHAT: Join us in the Hale Center Theater Orem Costume Shop for a four-week intermediate level sewing course! Participants will select a wedding dress from our overflow costume stock to transform into a masterpiece of their own making, which you will model on our final day in a fashion show that takes place right on our stage! Each of the eight sessions will begin with a brief sewing lesson, including fabric dyeing, construction steps, materials use, etc. The remaining time will be used to work on your dress design. Class members will need to bring their own machine to set up in the Costume Shop, and be able to use its' basic functions. You will be able to bring your dress home to work on between class sessions.
WHO: Anyone with intermediate sewing skills (knows how to thread and stitch on a sewing machine) and has access to a sewing machine.
WHEN: June 21, 2021 – June 24, 2021 (Tuesdays & Thursdays; 10:30am-12:30pm)
